We are introducing the Teams Rooms Builder in the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal, a visual planning tool that helps IT admins design and standardize meeting spaces. Builder simplifies the process of selecting compatible devices, licenses, and room configurations, helping organizations plan deployments more efficiently and consistently. This feature supports faster decision-making and improved standardization across Teams Rooms environments.

What will happen

  • A new Teams Rooms Builder experience will be available in the Pro Management portal: 

    user settings

  • Builder provides a visual and guided interface to design meeting rooms (traditional, signature, and flexible spaces).
  • Admins can:
    • Explore room configurations and layout options.
    • Select compatible devices and licenses: 

      user settings

    • Generate and download a Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • The feature is enabled by default for tenants with Teams Rooms Pro.
  • Admins can control visibility and role-based access through existing Pro Management Portal settings, including the option to hide Builder for their tenant.
  • No changes will be made to existing rooms or device configurations.
  • Purchasing capabilities are not included (no shopping cart or transaction functionality).
