We are announcing the ability for administrators to export Copilot Studio agent telemetry at the environment level to Azure Application Insights. This feature will reach public preview on July 15, 2026.
How does this affect me?
When enabled through the Power Platform admin center, Copilot Studio agent execution telemetry is exported in an OpenTelemetry-aligned span format to Azure Application Insights. This allows you to utilize Azure Monitor to track agent activity, while Kusto Query Language and Applications Insights Logs can leverage the telemetry to create custom dashboards, configure alerts, perform troubleshooting, and analyze agent behavior.
Exported telemetry includes:
- Top-level agent invocation and lower-level execution spans, such as tool calls and output messages.
- Agent execution events, including:
- InvokeAgent
- ExecuteTool
- OutputMessages
- OpenTelemetry-aligned attributes for agents, conversations and tools.
This message is for awareness, and no action is required.
