Assessment Reasoning
Support for the OneDrive sync app ends on Windows 10 22H1 and earlier from 15 August 2026, requiring OS or device upgrades to maintain updates and security. Admin work includes identifying affected devices, upgrading OS versions, and updating internal documentation and communications. Users on older builds will retain basic syncing for now but risk degraded functionality, creating a moderate user impact. The short one-month window before support ends drives high urgency and significant planning effort.
