We are announcing the ability to run prompt columns on existing records in bulk (backfill) in Microsoft Dataverse. This feature will reach general availability on August 31, 2026.

With this feature, you can now run prompt columns in bulk on existing records, making it easy to generate AI-powered insights across historical data. After you select the Apply to existing and new records option, the prompt runs in the background on existing records that satisfy the filter criteria.
