[Rollout Schedule:]

Public Preview (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out on early October 2026 and expect to complete by mid October 2026.
[Impact on Your Organization:]
Admins will have a unified experience for discovering and managing classifiers in the Microsoft Purview portal, bringing sensitive information types, Exact Data Match classifiers, trainable classifiers, and document fingerprinting together in a consistent management experience.
[Action Required/Recommendations:]
Plan to review the unified Classifiers experience in the Microsoft Purview portal when it becomes available. Use the product tour and teaching bubbles to learn about the experience, then explore search, filters, and classifier details to find and understand the classifiers your organization uses.
When creating a classifier, use the guidance in the creation experience to choose between sensitive information types (SITs), Exact Data Match (EDM), trainable classifiers, and document fingerprinting based on your scenario.
