The update moves general availability from the end of October to the end of November 2026, marking a moderate timing adjustment. Multimodal recording in Copilot Notebooks introduces new data processing and recording behaviours that will affect compliance, consent and privacy controls. Admins may review or adjust relevant policy settings and advise users on consent requirements. User experience impact is moderate since the feature is on by default and visibly changes meeting capture workflows.
