We are introducing the Copilot in Automation Center feature for Power Automate. This allows users to ask natural language questions about cloud and desktop flow activities, work queues, and Power Automate features. Users can gain insights into cloud flow trends, statuses, and performance. This feature will be generally available on January 25, 2025.
How does this affect me?
As a user, Copilot in Automation Center will allow you to quickly access valuable information on cloud flow run history, performance trends, and flow initiation details. You’ll be able to ask questions directly from the Power Automate portal to enhance your automation monitoring experience with AI-powered insights such as:
- How many flows failed yesterday?
- How many runs last month were triggered by another cloud flow?
- Who initiated flow runs during the last month?
What do I need to do to prepare?
This message is for awareness and no action is required. If you would like more information on this feature, please visit Automation center (preview).

The introduction of Copilot in Automation Center for Power Automate is a game-changer for both admins and users. With this feature set to launch on January 25, 2025, it promises to streamline the way we interact with cloud flow data, making it easier than ever to gain real-time insights.
For users, the Copilot will act as a friendly AI assistant, answering natural language questions about cloud and desktop flow activities. Imagine being able to ask, “How many flows failed yesterday?” and getting an instant response, freeing you from the labyrinth of manual checks. This not only enhances monitoring but also empowers users to make informed decisions quickly. The ability to track performance trends and flow initiation details without diving deep into the data can lead to increased productivity and efficiency.
Admins, on the other hand, will appreciate the reduced burden of having to manually sift through data to troubleshoot issues or report on performance metrics. With Copilot providing insightful answers, admins can focus more on strategic initiatives rather than getting lost in the weeds. Plus, the ease of access to data could lead to better collaboration between teams, as everyone can share insights more readily.
As for the impact of these changes, it’s hard to overstate how transformative they could be. By making data more accessible and understandable, both users and admins will likely experience a smoother workflow. And let’s not forget the time saved—more time for coffee breaks or perhaps a quick round of office ping-pong!
I’m curious to hear what others think about these changes. Do you see any challenges or additional benefits? Let’s get the conversation going! For more insights, don’t forget to check out other posts on mwpro.co.uk.
