We will retire the Microsoft Feed app from Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android starting May 1, 2025 and ending by late May, 2025.
Users of your organization will no longer be able to access the Feed tab in Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android. The Feed app will disappear from the bottom of the screen for users who had pinned it there. The Feed app will no longer be available in the Apps list for pinning.
As an alternative to the Feed, we recommend using Copilot in Microsoft Outlook. Other alternatives that recommend content similar to the Feed:
- The Files app in Microsoft Outlook
- The Microsoft OneDrive app for iOS and Android
- The Recommended section on Microsoft365.com
- The For you section in OneDrive on web
This change will happen automatically on the specified dates and no specific actions are required. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.

The upcoming retirement of the “Feed” tab in Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android is certainly a significant shift for both admins and users alike. Scheduled to take place between May 1 and late May 2025, this change will mean that users will no longer have access to the Feed app, which has been a handy way to stay updated on various content.
For admins, this update might feel a bit like spring cleaning—necessary but perhaps a tad inconvenient. You’ll need to communicate this change to your users, ensuring they’re aware of the transition and the alternatives available. Thankfully, Microsoft is providing several options to fill that void, such as using Copilot in Outlook, the Files app, and OneDrive. It’s an opportunity to engage with your team and help them adapt to these new tools, turning a potential disruption into a chance for growth and learning.
For users, the disappearance of the Feed tab might initially feel like losing a favorite snack from the pantry. However, with alternatives like Copilot and the Recommended section on Microsoft 365, there’s still a feast of functionality to explore. It’s all about shifting mindsets and embracing these new features as they come along. After all, change can often lead to unexpected benefits!
The impact of these changes will largely depend on how effectively both admins and users adapt to the new tools. With a proactive approach, this transition can be smooth and even beneficial. So, let’s keep the conversation going! What are your thoughts on this update? Have you found any helpful alternatives to the Feed tab already?
