Update: Based on feedback gathered since the announcement of this feature, we will be adjusting the general availability date to streamline your ability to take advantage of the additional controls we plan to implement. Dates and details will be published in a new Message Center post.
Coming soon, new agents created from Agent Builder will be created in the Microsoft 365 Chat environment, to make it easier for admins to manage and track agents. This change will happen automatically, and no action is needed from administrators. The existing management tools in the Microsoft Admin Center (MAC) will continue to function as they always have.
Initially, we planned to add Custom REST APIs to Agent Builder agents. However, based on early feedback, we have decided not to introduce REST APIs in Agent Builder. For makers who need to build agents with actions, we recommend using Microsoft Copilot Studio (MCS) instead.
How does this affect me?
Admins will be able to track Agent Builder agents in the Microsoft 365 Chat environment, but nothing new is required from you.
What do I need to do to prepare?
No action is needed. This change will happen automatically.
