We are announcing the ability to audit the original user-selected Choice Data Type label description. This feature will be generally available on October 30, 2025.
How does this affect me?
Previously, when a label description was changed in the Choice data type, the changed description was shown on existing audit records. However, if later edited, the audit record would be updated, replacing the original label.
This feature allows administrators to retain the original user-selected label in existing audit records by updating StoreLabelNameforPicklistAudits to true. Please refer to the Change AuditSettings documentation for more information.
What action do I need to take?
This message is for awareness and no action is required.
For more information, please review this documentation: Manage Dataverse auditing.
