Amazon ElastiCache now supports dual-stack service endpoints. Dual-stack service endpoints allow you to manage ElastiCache resources using either Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) or version 6 (IPv6). ElastiCache interface VPC endpoints powered by AWS PrivateLink also now support dual-stack connectivity.
With this update, you can now connect to and manage your Amazon ElastiCache resources using IPv4 or IPv6. Dual-stack endpoints allow you to migrate applications using ElastiCache from IPv4 to IPv6 at your convenience, making it easier to meet IPv6 compliance requirements and modernize your application architecture.
Amazon ElastiCache dual-stack service endpoints are available in all AWS commercial Regions, AWS China Regions and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions. There is no additional charge when you connect to Amazon ElastiCache service endpoints using Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6). To learn more, see the Amazon ElastiCache service endpoint documentation.
