We’re introducing a new way to quickly summarize emails and attachments using Copilot chat in Outlook. With a single click, users can generate concise summaries of email content and attachments, helping them stay focused and save time. This feature is available to Android and iOS users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license and pinning enabled.

What will happen:

Users will see a new option to summarize email content using Copilot chat:

  • The feature will be available across Android, Desktop, iOS, Mac, Web, and both Classic and New Outlook for Windows.
  • No admin configuration is required; the feature is enabled by default for eligible users.
  • Existing policies are respected; no changes to admin controls are needed.

  • You may choose to inform users about the new summarization capability.
