Microsoft is ending OneDrive sync app updates on devices running Windows 10 version 22H1 and earlier. Beginning in August 2026, those devices will no longer receive OneDrive sync app feature updates, bug fixes, or security updates. This change aligns OneDrive support with the Windows lifecycle policy and helps Microsoft focus ongoing investments on supported operating systems.
Support status by Windows version:
- Windows 10 version 22H2: The OneDrive sync app will continue to receive feature updates, bug fixes, and security updates through October 10, 2028.
- Windows 10 version 22H1 and earlier: The OneDrive sync app will no longer receive updates. Existing installations may continue to function, but future functionality is not guaranteed.
