Assessment Reasoning
This is a new Copilot feature offering centralised configuration of Sales agent starter prompts. It gives admins flexibility to customise or disable defaults, which requires awareness and possible configuration for alignment with business processes. User impact is indirect since sellers receive default prompts, improving workflows without disruption. Urgency is low because no mandatory action is required, but organisations may review prompt sets and adjust as needed.

📢 Official Microsoft Message Center Announcement
Sales in Microsoft 365 Copilot – Configure Sales agent starter prompts across applications
Message ID: MC1442232
We are announcing the ability to configure Sales agent starter prompts across applications in Sales in Microsoft 365 Copilot. This feature will reach general availability on July 31, 2026.
How does this affect me?
This feature enables you to configure Sales agent starter prompts from a single, centralized experience and assign them to specific apps – including Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Starter prompts are provided by default, giving sellers a ready-made set of common scenarios such as customer research, relationship insights, sentiment analysis, and meeting follow-up – so they can get started quickly without crafting queries from scratch. You can disable default prompts and replace them with custom prompts tailored to your organization’s needs.
What action do I need to take?
This message is for awareness, and no action is required.
