This is a new capability requiring admin configuration of permissions in the Teams admin centre and verification of Teams Premium licensing. There is a need to review voicemail workflows, update operational guidance and notify users. End-user experience changes are moderate, introducing a new UI in the Queues app for those who manage auto attendants. Urgency is medium-high as rollout begins in August 2026 and action may be required beforehand.

[What and why]

We’re introducing the ability to view and manage auto attendant shared voicemails directly in the Microsoft Teams Queues app. Previously, organizations typically managed auto attendant voicemails through shared mailboxes or other workflows. This update provides a centralized experience for teams to review, triage, and respond to customer voicemail messages more efficiently.

Administrators can control access to auto attendant voicemail history through permissions configured in the Teams admin center.
