Updated August 7, 2026: We have updated the timeline. Thank you for your patience. 

[What and Why:]

Copilot settings are being added to classic Outlook for Windows, allowing users to view and manage Copilot directly from the File menu, including the option to turn Copilot on or off. This change brings Copilot settings into the application where Copilot is used and does not change Copilot licensing, eligibility, or admin controls.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 561491.

[Rollout Schedule:]

  • Public Preview (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out in early June 2026 and expect to complete by mid-June 2026.
  • General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out in early July 2026 and expect to complete by end of August 2026 (previously late July).
