Assessment Reasoning
Microsoft extended the GA rollout to end of August, but deployment is already in progress. Admins do not need to take action but should consider pinning the app and updating training, particularly for Copilot licensing requirements. User impact is moderate as a new core Teams app introduces a new way to access meeting recaps, requiring awareness and potential updates to workflows.

Updated August 11, 2026: We have updated the timeline. Thank you for your patience.

[What and Why]

Quick filters help users find the right meetings faster, while audio recap capabilities enable efficient review of multiple meetings in a podcast-style format. Users can also browse and revisit meeting recaps from the past 30 days, making it easier to stay up to date.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 564614.
