Assessment Reasoning
The change only removes a navigation page in Exchange admin center without altering core functionality. Admins need to update documentation, bookmarks, and procedures to avoid confusion during rollout. No user-facing effect, as this is admin navigation only, but internal teams should be aware and plan minor updates. Urgency is moderate as rollout starts soon and continues over months.

📢 Official Microsoft Message Center Announcement

Microsoft Exchange Online: Retirement of the Other features page in Exchange admin center
Message ID: MC1452374

[What and why]

We are retiring the Other Features page in the Exchange admin center (EAC) as part of our ongoing efforts to simplify and modernize the Exchange administration experience.

The Other Features page primarily provides links to administrative experiences hosted in other Microsoft admin portals and does not contain unique Exchange Online administration functionality. After this change, administrators can continue to access those experiences directly through their respective admin portals. No Exchange Online workloads, settings, policies, or administrative capabilities are being removed.

[Rollout schedule]

  • Worldwide: Beginning in early September 2026 and expected to complete in February 2027

[Impact on your organization]

Who is affected

  • Exchange Online administrators who use the Exchange admin center
  • Organizations with internal documentation, bookmarks, or operational processes that reference the Other Features page

Platforms and services

  • Exchange Online
  • Exchange admin center (web)

What will happen

  • The Other Features page will be removed from the Exchange admin center.
  • Administrative experiences previously linked from the page will remain available through their respective Microsoft admin portals.
  • No Exchange Online workloads, configurations, policies, or management capabilities will be removed.
  • This change is intended to reduce legacy navigation elements and provide a more streamlined Exchange administration experience.

[Action required and recommendations]

While no technical action is required, we recommend that administrators:

  • Review and update any documentation that references the Other Features page.
  • Update any saved bookmarks that point to the Other Features page.
  • Review operational procedures and training materials that instruct administrators to use the Other Features page.
  • Ensure administrators access the associated Microsoft administrative experiences directly through their dedicated portals.

[Compliance considerations]

No compliance considerations identified, review as appropriate for your organization.
