Assessment Reasoning
This announcement adds a self-service onboarding workflow for new Microsoft Entra App Gallery submissions. It mainly affects ISVs and admins managing application publishing workflows. There is minimal end-user effect as app access and behaviour are unchanged. Admins involved in publishing should familiarise themselves with the new validation and submission process before general availability later in 2026.

Microsoft Entra App Gallery: Self-service onboarding for new applications
Message ID: MC1485054

[What and why]

We are introducing a self-service onboarding experience for new applications submitted to the Microsoft Entra App Gallery. This experience helps independent software vendors (ISVs) validate supported single sign-on (SSO) and user provisioning integrations before submission, identify and resolve common configuration issues earlier in the process, and track submission status through a guided workflow in the Microsoft Entra admin center. By enabling publishers to validate integrations and manage submissions directly, this experience streamlines the publishing process.

[Rollout schedule]

  • Public Preview: Available now
  • General Availability (Worldwide): Beginning in mid-November 2026 and expected to complete by late December 2026
