AlloyDB for PostgreSQL

Feature

You can now use Dataplex Universal Catalog to discover, search, and manage your AlloyDB resources, including clusters, databases, and tables. This integration (in Preview) provides a unified view of your metadata, enabling better data governance and easier analysis. For more information, see Manage your AlloyDB resources using Dataplex Universal Catalog.

Feature

Improve query performance for partitioned tables and complex queries using parallel execution for the SELECT portion of an INSERT INTO ... SELECT query. For more information, see Improve select insert performance with parallel select.

BigQuery

Feature

The BigQuery Overview page is now your hub for discovering tutorials, features, and resources to help you get the most out of BigQuery. It provides guided paths for users of all skill levels. This feature is in Preview.

Feature

You can now use the interactive SQL translator, the translation API, and the batch SQL translator to translate the following SQL dialects into GoogleSQL:

  • Apache Impala SQL
  • GoogleSQL (BigQuery)

These features are in Preview.

Cloud Run

Feature

You can set a task timeout up to 168 hours (7 days) for Cloud Run jobs. (GA)

Cloud Storage

Feature

You can now enable Autoclass for buckets with hierarchical namespace enabled.

Generative AI on Vertex AI

Deprecated

Anthropic’s Claude 3.7 Sonnet

Anthropic’s Claude 3.7 Sonnet is deprecated as of November 11, 2025 and will be shut down on May 11, 2026. For more information, see Partner model deprecations.

Google Kubernetes Engine

Feature

The N4D machine family is now Generally Available (GA) for Standard and Autopilot mode. N4D instances are powered by the fifth generation AMD EPYC SP5 processors (Turin). The N4D machine series is available as follows:

  • Cluster autoscaler, node pool auto-creation, and Autopilot mode: GKE version 1.34.1-gke.2037000 and later.
  • Manually created node pools in Standard mode: all available GKE versions.

Security Command Center

Changed

Several features and updates have been made available to Security Command Center in a federated identity environment:

  • Exporting findings to a CSV file.
  • Exporting findings to Cloud Storage.

The following features aren’t supported by identity federation but are being moved to other sections in the documentation:

  • Sending feedback in Security Command Center
  • Managing Google SecOps settings.

Service Usage

Feature

Service Usage support for hierarchical service activation is available in Preview. This feature lets you enable and disable services across your organization’s resource hierarchy.
