The upcoming updates to Microsoft Teams, particularly around extending the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) calling experience, are poised to make a significant impact on both admins and users alike.

For admins, the introduction of third-party application integration means more flexibility and customization options. With the ability to pin relevant applications directly within the Teams interface, admins can enhance the calling experience for their teams, allowing for seamless access to contextual information. This change not only streamlines workflows but also empowers teams to be more efficient during calls. It’s like giving your team a Swiss Army knife for communication—everything they need is right at their fingertips!

On the user side, the implications are even more exciting. Imagine being in a call and having instant access to vital data from your business applications without having to toggle between screens. This integration will not only save time but also enhance productivity, making customer interactions smoother and more informed. It’s set to turn what could be a mundane call into a dynamic exchange of ideas and information—definitely a win-win!

As for the overall impact, I foresee a positive shift in how we approach communication in Teams. The ability to integrate and access data in real time will likely lead to more informed decision-making and improved customer service. It’s a step toward making calls not just a means of communication but a powerful tool for collaboration and efficiency.
