AlloyDB for PostgreSQL

Feature

AlloyDB now supports PostgreSQL 17 for migrating from Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL to AlloyDB for PostgreSQL using your Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL backup. The size limit for these operations is now 15TB. For more information, see g4 sync Migrate from Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL to AlloyDB.

Feature

AlloyDB AI introduces auto embedding generation in Preview. You can now generate large-scale embeddings to leverage in semantic search and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) on text content.

Apigee Analytics

Announcement

On November 10, 2025 we released an updated version of Apigee.

Feature

Support for new Apigee Analytics regions

This release introduces Apigee Analytics support for these new regions: Hong Kong (asia-east2) and São Paulo (southamerica-east1).

NOTE: Apigee Advanced API Security does not support these new regions at this time.

BigQuery

Feature

Partitioning is now available for BigLake tables for Apache Iceberg in BigQuery. This feature is in Preview.

BigQuery ML now supports the TimesFM 2.5 time series foundational model. You can use the TimesFM 2.5 model in the AI.FORECAST, AI.EVALUATE, and AI.DETECT_ANOMALIES functions to achieve better forecasting accuracy and lower latency.

Feature

BigQuery ML now offers the AI.DETECT_ANOMALIES function. Use the AI.DETECT_ANOMALIES function with a TimesFM model to detect anomalies in time series data, using historical data as a baseline. This feature is in Preview.

Feature

You can aggregate and deduplicate table data with Gemini assistance in your BigQuery data preparations. These features are generally available (GA).

Cloud SQL for MySQL

Feature

Cloud SQL now provides brute-force detection and protection for your Cloud SQL instances. This helps protect your instances from brute-force access attempts by identifying the source and mitigating the risk caused by these attempts. For more information, see Use brute-force protection.

Google SecOps

Nested if

You can now use if statements in both the outcome and events sections and also within the then else clauses of another if statement. This capability lets you introduce more complicated logic to your query and is supported in Rules, Search, and Dashboards.

Feature

For Autonomous Databases, you can perform a failover in the event of a disaster in which your primary database becomes inaccessible. This feature is Generally Available (GA).

Feature

Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) has been released to General Availability for the Security Command Center Enterprise tier.

Virtual Private Cloud

Feature

Service producers can accept or reject connections from individual Private Service Connect endpoints. This feature is available in Preview.
