We are announcing the ability to schedule desktop flows directly in Power Automate without requiring a cloud flow as an intermediary trigger. This feature will reach public preview on May 31, 2026.
How does this affect me?
This feature introduces a streamlined scheduling experience in Power Automate.
Key capabilities include:
- Users can create schedules directly for desktop flows without needing a cloud flow as an intermediary trigger.
- A new “Schedules” area provides a complete overview of:
- The desktop flows each schedule runs.
- The machines or machine groups assigned for execution.
- Upcoming active runs.
- Schedules can directly select the machine or machine group responsible for running the flow.
- Elimination of cloud flow dependencies, simplifying the scheduling process.
This message is for awareness, and no action is required.
