AI Builder – Invoice processing and Invoices document type to begin using Azure [MC1117659]

Starting on July 21, 2025, the prebuilt model invoice processing and invoices document type (built on Azure Document Intelligence 4.0) will begin using v4.0 (GA) in AI Builder.

How does this affect me?
The updated Invoice Processing model introduces the following new fields:

• TotalDiscount – Captures any Total discount field identified on the invoice.
• KVKNumber – Includes the unique identifier for businesses registered in the Netherlands.
• PaymentDetails – Provides a List of payment details (IBAN, SWIFT and more).
• TaxDetails – Provides a List of tax details (amount, rate of the tax detail).
• PaidInFourInstallments – Provides a List of tax details (amount, due date).
• Items – Provides a List of line items.

What action do I need to take?
If your flows use dynamic content (e.g., “All detected text*, Line item all*”), or if you’re using custom parsing logic (e.g. via JSON schema or expressions), you may want to review the new fields and ensure they don’t unintentionally affect any conditions, mappings, or downstream actions.

If your flows reference specific fields from the model (e.g. AmountDue, VendorName), and do not utilize the new fields, your existing flows will continue to run as expected and no action is required.
