Currently all conversations (questions & discussions) posted in a community live event feed are automatically posted in the community feed.
With this feature update, conversations will remain restricted to the event feed only.
[When will this happen:]
General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out this feature in early October 2024 and expect to complete by early November 2024
[How this will affect your organization:]
With this update, we are making a change that will restrict conversations (questions & discussion posts) in a community live event to the event feed only. This means that posts for new events after this release will be visible only when you access the event feed within the community NOT within the community feed itself. When you delete the event, the community feed will remain unimpacted. It can be made available to the community feed if a user explicitly shares a conversation from the event feed to the community feed.
It is important to note that this change will only be available for newly created events & will not apply to past events. Existing events that were created before this release in the community will still show messages in the community feed. When you delete those events, the messages will remain in the community feed.
[What do you need to do to prepare:]
This change will be available by default and doesn’t require any changes at your end.

The upcoming update is set to shake things up for admins and users alike! Picture this: a world where live event conversations stay put in the event feed, not wandering off into the community feed like a lost puppy. This means less clutter in the community feed and a more focused experience for event attendees.
For admins, this change means a cleaner community feed, with event-related discussions neatly tucked away in the event feed. No more event conversations photobombing the community feed party! Users, on the other hand, will have a more streamlined experience, easily finding event-related chatter right where it belongs.
In terms of criticality, this update falls somewhere between “Where did I leave my keys?” and “Coffee machine out of order.” It’s not a world-ending event, but it’s definitely a game-changer for community organization and user experience.
So, mark your calendars for early October 2024, when this update starts rolling out worldwide. And remember, when life gives you event conversations, make sure they stay where they belong – in the event feed!
