Message ID: MC947830

We’re excited to announce updates to the Microsoft Viva admin landing page and the Feature Access Management experience in the Microsoft 365 admin center (MAC).

[When this will happen:]

New user interface for Feature Access Management in the MAC | General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out late January 2025 and expect to complete by early February 2025.

[How this will affect your organization:]

Admins will benefit from a more intuitive layout, making it easier to navigate various settings directly from the MAC. 2. Through the new Feature Access management user interface, admins will be able to manage feature access settings directly in the MAC. Feature access management allows admins to use access policies to manage which users can access specific features in Viva apps, so you can tailor your deployments to meet your local regulatory or business requirements. Previously, these policies could only be managed with Microsoft PowerShell cmdlets. After this rollout, admins can choose to use either the MAC or PowerShell to manage feature access. Existing policies set for an organization will persist and can be managed in both places. The recent updates to Microsoft Viva are set to create a ripple effect for both admins and users, and it’s an exciting time for everyone involved!

For admins, the revamped Viva admin landing page introduces a tabbed interface that promises to streamline navigation and make accessing important settings as easy as pie. No more hunting through endless menus—everything you need will be just a click away! This user-friendly layout will not only enhance productivity but also reduce the time spent on routine tasks, allowing admins to focus on more strategic initiatives. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a little extra time to sip that morning coffee?

The new Feature Access Management user interface is another game changer. Admins will now have the flexibility to manage feature access settings right from the Microsoft 365 admin center. This transition from PowerShell cmdlets to a more intuitive interface means that configuring access policies will be significantly easier. It’s like moving from a manual to an automatic transmission—smoother, faster, and less likely to stall!

For users, these updates may seem like behind-the-scenes changes, but they’ll likely experience a more seamless interaction with Viva applications. With tailored access to features based on organizational needs, users can look forward to a more personalized and efficient experience. It’s like getting a bespoke suit instead of a one-size-fits-all option!

Overall, these changes are impactful, enhancing both the admin experience and user satisfaction. It’s a win-win situation!

I’d love to hear what everyone else thinks about these updates. Do you believe they’ll make a difference in your daily work? Let’s get the conversation going! Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences. For more insights, check out other posts at mwpro.co.uk.
