Message ID: MC998509

We are modernizing the existing admin notification settings in Viva Engage to make admin notification settings and configuration more user-friendly and intuitive within Viva Engage. Previously, the tenant-wide notifications settings for admin configuration opened in legacy web pages. With this update, these notification settings will now appear under Viva Engage Admin center > Tenant settings.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 472925.

[When this will happen:]

The recent update regarding Microsoft Viva’s tenant-wide notification settings is certainly a game changer for both admins and users. By moving these settings to the more user-friendly Viva Engage Admin Center, Microsoft is making strides in simplifying the admin experience. No more navigating through legacy web pages that feel like they belong in a museum!

For administrators, this update means greater control and ease of management. They can now manage admin notifications directly from the Engage Admin Center, which streamlines the process significantly. The addition of improved guidance and labels will help make the configuration process intuitive, reducing the chances of those “Oops, did I just send that to everyone?” moments. Plus, existing notification preferences remain unchanged, so there’s no need to worry about any unexpected surprises. It’s like getting a shiny new tool without having to learn a whole new set of instructions!

On the user side, the changes may not seem immediately impactful, but they will ultimately lead to a better experience. With clearer settings and notifications, users can expect more relevant updates that won’t clutter their feeds. It’s a win-win situation, where admins can breathe easy, and users can enjoy a more streamlined experience.

As we look ahead to the rollout beginning in late February 2025, it’s clear that these changes will have a positive impact on both parties. The transition promises to enhance collaboration and communication within organizations, making the work environment smoother and more efficient.
