The upcoming addition of CVI (Cloud Video Interop) coordinates to Microsoft Teams town hall and webinar invitations is set to create quite a buzz among both admins and users alike. This feature will enable non-Teams users, such as external customers or partners, to join meetings seamlessly using third-party teleconferencing devices.
For admins, this means less hassle when inviting external participants, as the CVI coordinates will simplify the process significantly. You won’t have to worry about whether everyone can connect, as this feature is designed to bridge the gap between different video conferencing systems. Plus, since the rollout is automatic, you can kick back and relax—no extra configuration is needed on your part. Just make sure to review your current setup and inform your users about this exciting change!
On the user side, this update is a game-changer. Imagine being able to join a town hall or webinar from your preferred device without any technical hiccups. It’s like throwing a party where everyone is invited, regardless of their video conferencing preference.
Overall, the impact of these changes is likely to be very positive, enhancing collaboration and ensuring that no one is left out of important meetings. As we gear up for this rollout in March 2025, it’s worth considering how these improvements can enhance communication within your organization.
