We are announcing the extend M365 Copilot with Copilot Studio custom engine agents feature for Microsoft Copilot Studio. This feature allows users to customize Microsoft 365 Copilot to their needs with custom engine copilots to create rich, organization-specific solutions that can be easily accessed and interacted with from Microsoft Copilot. This feature will reach general availability on March 31, 2025.
How does this affect me?
Microsoft 365 Copilot can be extended with a custom agent by enabling the Microsoft 365 Copilot channel and then submitting it to Teams or Microsoft 365, either by submitting to admin to publish to the line of business catalog, or by deploying using a security group.
Microsoft 365 Copilot supports most common custom agent chat features; messages, quick replies, adaptive cards (with Action.Submit), multi-turn interactions and multi-message responses to a user interaction. In addition, because it’s a custom agent, it benefits from Copilot Studio’s usage analytics and governance provided by Power Platform Admin Center.
What do I need to do to prepare?
