The recent update regarding Microsoft Viva Engage’s network consolidation is a significant change that will undoubtedly have implications for both admins and users. With the notice period for automatic network consolidation now reduced to 15 days, organizations will need to adapt quickly to ensure a smooth transition.
For admins, this change means less time to prepare for the consolidation process. While the previous 30-day notice allowed for more thorough planning and communication, the new 15-day notice will require admins to be agile and proactive. It’s a bit like a surprise party—exciting, but you need to be ready to pull it off without a hitch! Admins will need to familiarize themselves with the Engage Admin Center to manage the timing of these changes effectively. If you want to maintain control over when the consolidation happens, now’s the time to take action.
On the user side, while they may not directly feel the impact of the notice period change, they will eventually experience the effects of network consolidation in terms of streamlined communications and collaboration. A consolidated network can lead to a more cohesive experience, reducing confusion and fostering a stronger community. However, it’s essential for users to stay informed about these changes to understand how their interactions may evolve.
In terms of impact, this update could be a game-changer for organizations looking to enhance their collaborative efforts. The consolidation aims to create a more unified platform, which could lead to increased engagement and productivity. However, the success of this transition will depend heavily on how well both admins and users adapt to the new timeline.
