We are announcing an update to the Power Platform admin center (PPAC) that enhances your administrative experience. Effective April 21, 2025, the new PPAC user interface (UI) will become the default experience.
How does this affect me?
Currently, when an admin logs into PPAC, it defaults to the classic UI. An admin can toggle “ON” the new PPAC UI experience, if they choose to do so. However, starting April 21, 2025, the new PPAC UI will become the default view. Admins can toggle “OFF” to go back to the classic PPAC experience.
What do I need to do to prepare?
The new PPAC is designed to deliver a more intuitive, efficient, and modern user experience, helping you manage your environment(s) with greater ease. We’ve prepared a step-by-step video guide on how to switch between the new and classic UI options, available in our documentation for the new and improved Power Platform admin center.

The upcoming update to the Power Platform admin center (PPAC) is set to make waves in both the admin and user communities, and it’s certainly worth discussing! Starting April 21, 2025, the new user interface will become the default experience, which means admins will have a fresh new dashboard to navigate while managing their environments.
For admins, this means a transition from the classic UI to a more intuitive and streamlined interface. The new design aims to enhance efficiency, making it easier to manage tasks and monitor environments. It’s like getting an upgrade from a trusty old bicycle to a sleek new electric scooter—sure, you might miss the nostalgic feel of the old ride, but you’ll quickly appreciate the speed and ease of getting where you need to go!
Users, on the other hand, will benefit from a more modern experience as admins adapt to the new interface, leading to better management of applications and resources. This can translate into improved performance and a smoother user experience overall. After all, a happy admin often leads to happy users!
As we prepare for this change, it’s crucial for everyone to familiarize themselves with the new features and functionalities. The step-by-step video guide provided in the documentation will be a fantastic resource. So, whether you’re an admin ready to embrace the change or a user excited for the benefits that come with it, there’s a lot to look forward to.
I’m curious to hear what others think! Do you foresee any challenges with this transition, or are you excited about the new features? Let’s keep the conversation going! And for more insights and updates, don’t forget to check out more posts on mwpro.co.uk.
