The recent announcement regarding the pre-production release of Power Pages version 9.7.3.x is certainly generating some buzz! For both admins and users, this update brings a mix of excitement and a few minor inconveniences—think of it as the software equivalent of a spring cleaning.

For admins, the most notable change is the temporary read-only state of the Portal Management page during the maintenance window. While it may feel like a brief pause in your usual workflow, it’s a small price to pay for the performance and security enhancements that come with this update. Plus, let’s face it, who doesn’t enjoy the thrill of a little anticipation? Just think of it as a moment to take a deep breath, grab a coffee, and prepare for a smoother, faster experience once the dust settles.

Users, on the other hand, can expect a seamless transition with no action required on their part. The automatic upgrade means you’ll soon be enjoying an improved website experience without lifting a finger. It’s like getting a surprise gift—who doesn’t love that? And while your Power Pages site will be restarted during the upgrade, rest assured that these enhancements are designed to make your experience even better.

Overall, the impact of these changes is poised to be quite significant, especially in terms of performance and security. With customer-reported issues being addressed, it’s a win-win for everyone involved. So, let’s embrace these updates with open arms and perhaps a chuckle or two about the temporary read-only phase.
