We are announcing the Save flow for future retrieval with designer resiliency feature for Power Automate. This feature automatically saves a copy of flows to browser storage upon a failed save, even if there are errors present. This feature will reach general availability on April 25, 2025.
How does this affect me?
This feature will prevent loss of unsaved solution flow changes during outages when Save Draft or Publish fails, allowing you to save draft or publish later.
For non-solution flows lacking "save draft" functionality, a banner will notify you when a copy is saved to the browser’s storage, so this acts as saving an unsaved draft copy of the flow to the browser.
What do I need to do to prepare?
This message is for awareness and no action is required.

The recent announcement regarding Power Automate’s new feature, “Save flow for future retrieval with designer resiliency,” is indeed a game changer for both admins and users alike! Set to roll out on April 25, 2025, this feature promises a smoother experience by automatically saving copies of flows to browser storage in case of a save failure, even when errors are present.
For admins, this means fewer headaches when it comes to managing user workflows. Imagine the relief of knowing that your team won’t lose unsaved changes during those frustrating outages when a save draft or publish fails. This feature can enhance productivity and minimize downtime, allowing admins to focus more on strategic initiatives rather than troubleshooting flow issues.
Users will also benefit immensely. The added safety net of automatic saving means you can dive into your creative process with the confidence that your hard work won’t vanish into the digital ether. Plus, the notification banner for non-solution flows will keep users informed, acting like a trusty sidekick that ensures your drafts are safe and sound.
The overall impact of these changes is likely to be significant. With increased reliability and user confidence, we can expect a boost in productivity and creativity within teams. After all, who doesn’t love a little extra assurance when tackling their tasks?
As we look forward to these improvements, I encourage everyone to share their thoughts! How do you think this feature will change your Power Automate experience? Let’s get the conversation going!
