We are making an update in the Managing system views with security role feature preview for Dataverse security in Power Platform. This update helps streamline the admin management of enabling system views for their users. This update will be rolled out globally from April 28, 2025, through May 9, 2025.
How does this affect me?
Previously, the list of system views shown on each table form list is filtered to the ones that were set to the security role that is assigned to the users. All other system views that are set for Everyone are not visible.
With this update, all the Everyone system views will be visible to all users. This allows Admin better management of Everyone’s views without the need to set and specify security roles in the View settings of these views.
What do I need to do to prepare?
Review and update the View Settings of system views that you have set and inform your users of this updated behavior.
If you would like more information on this preview, please refer to Manage access to public system views.

The recent update regarding managing system views with security roles in Power Platform is set to make waves for both admins and users alike. As of April 28, 2025, we’ll see a shift that promises to enhance the user experience while simplifying the admin workload. Sounds like a win-win, right?
For admins, the update means less time spent tweaking security roles to control view visibility. Instead of juggling which views are accessible to which security roles, admins can now take a more hands-off approach. The “Everyone” system views will be visible to all users, allowing for a more straightforward management process. Imagine the time saved—admins can now focus on the bigger picture (or perhaps a well-deserved coffee break!).
On the user side, this change opens up a treasure trove of visibility. Users will now have access to all the “Everyone” views, which can help them work more efficiently and collaboratively. No more wondering if a specific view is hidden behind a security role—it’s all out in the open! This transparency can foster a more inclusive environment where everyone has the tools they need to succeed.
As for the overall impact, this update is likely to streamline workflows and enhance communication between teams. However, it does come with a responsibility for both admins and users to review and understand the updated View Settings. It’s a great opportunity to reassess how views are utilized and ensure that everyone is on the same page.
So, what do you think about these changes? Are you excited about the potential for improved collaboration, or do you have concerns about the visibility of certain views? Let’s keep the conversation going! Feel free to share your thoughts and predictions in the comments below.
