Power Platform – Power Platform – Manage Application Lifecycle Management at scale in the admin deployment hub [MC1078792]

Message ID: MC1078792

We are announcing the ability to set up and manage your Power Platform Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) process at scale within the new admin center in Power Platform. This feature is now generally available.

How does this affect me?
The Power Platform admin center user experience for ALM configuration and management allows you to:

  • Keep tabs on all deployments in your tenant.
  • Troubleshoot and retry failed deployments.
  • Manage approvals and security.
  • Create new pipelines hosts and centrally view all deployments from each host in your tenant.
  • Allow Managed Environments inline without the guesswork of where it’s required.
  • Configure reusable pipelines, eliminating manual work to onboard new environments and makers. Please note, this function will be added later.

What action do I need to take?
This message is for awareness and no action is required.

The recent update to the Power Platform’s Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) process is a game changer for both admins and users alike! With the new capabilities available in the admin center, managing ALM at scale has never been easier.

For admins, this update means a significant upgrade to their toolkit. They can now keep a close eye on all deployments within their tenant, troubleshoot any hiccups in real-time, and manage approvals and security with greater ease. The ability to create new pipeline hosts and view all deployments centrally simplifies the oversight process, allowing for smoother operations. Plus, with the promise of reusable pipelines coming down the road, the days of tedious manual onboarding for new environments and makers will soon be behind us. It’s like upgrading from a bicycle to a sports car—speed and efficiency are now the name of the game!

On the user side, the implications are equally exciting. With the streamlined processes that admins can implement, users can expect a more reliable and efficient experience when working with applications. Less downtime due to failed deployments means more time focusing on what truly matters—innovation and productivity. Who doesn’t love a little extra time to get creative?

Overall, the impact of these changes is poised to be quite substantial. The enhanced visibility and control for admins will lead to smoother operations, while users can look forward to a more dependable and user-friendly environment. It’s a win-win situation!
