Microsoft Outlook for iOS/Android: New formatting options for composing emails [MC1084640]

In response to feedback from you, our customers, we will add support for even more formatting options when composing in the Microsoft Outlook apps for iOS or Android. Users will be able to choose font size, set a default font, as well as clearing and painting formatting. As admins, you will have new options for configuring default formatting settings for the users in your organization.

[When this will happen:]

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High): We will begin rolling out early June 2025 and expect to complete by early July 2025.

[How this will affect your organization:]

Users will have an option to update font size (left and center) and will be able to access to format painter and format eraser (right) from the formatting toolbar while composing:

Users will be able to set a default font and size in the app settings using this sequence (left to right):

The new options will be available by default.

Organizational admins can manage default settings for users in your organization with an app configuration setting from your mobile application management solution such as Microsoft Intune. [What you need to do to prepare:]

This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation.
