Updated May 30, 2025: We have updated the timeline below. Thank you for your patience.
We are releasing a new feature that enables users to leverage Copilot’s capabilities during live call sessions without retaining transcripts or an audio recording afterward. This ensures that users can benefit from Copilot during sensitive conversations where a persistent record is not desired. Post-call Copilot functions, such as recap, will not be available after the call concludes.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 482745.
[When this will happen:]
Targeted release: We will begin rolling out early July 2025 and expect to complete by mid-July 2025.
General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out mid-July 2025 and expect to complete by late July 2025.
[How this will affect your organization:]
Users who have transcription turned off will be now able to use Copilot.
[What you need to do to prepare:]
Admin settings will be made available as part of the Calling policy to allow admins to configure the setting for their users. More details to follow.
