We are announcing the ability to use publicly available information to build agents that can assist citizens in navigating government services and information by using a Q&A-like experience in Microsoft Copilot Studio. This feature will reach general availability on June 30, 2025.
How does this affect me?
With the Citizen Services feature, public sector customers will be able to build custom agents using their publicly available information to assist citizens in finding answers and relevant sources. Public sector organizations can choose this agent as a starting point and easily configure and tailor it for their needs. The agent is preconfigured with the capability that allows citizens to:
- Ask questions through natural language interface and expect to quickly get answers with links to the sources, based on the configured knowledge sources.
- Ask about events, like road closures.
- Submit requests to the organization, like applying for assistance.
What do I need to do to prepare?
This message is for awareness and no action is required.
For more information, please review the Citizen Services article.
