Microsoft Teams: New link in forwarded messages improves context and traceability [MC1157710]

When someone forwards a message in Microsoft Teams, the forwarded message will now include a clickable link that takes the recipient directly to the original chat or channel message—if they have permission to view it. This enhancement improves message traceability and helps users quickly understand the context of forwarded messages. This update is based on customer feedback requesting better navigation and context when messages are shared across Teams.

When this will happen:

Targeted Release: Rolling out beginning mid-October 2025; expected to complete by late October 2025.

General Availability (Worldwide): Rolling out in early November 2025; expected to complete by mid-November 2025.
