We’re introducing a new way to quickly summarize emails and attachments using Copilot chat in Outlook. With a single click, users can generate concise summaries of email content and attachments, helping them stay focused and save time. This feature supports both Classic and New Outlook for Windows and is available to users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license and pinning enabled.

- Targeted Release (Worldwide): Rollout underway by early October 2025; expected completion by early November 2025.
- General Availability (Worldwide): Begins mid-October 2025; expected completion by late November 2025.

Who is affected: Users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license and pinning enabled in Outlook across Android, Desktop, iOS, Mac, Web, and Windows (Classic and New).
What will happen:
Users will see a new option to summarize email content using Copilot chat:
- The feature will be available across Android, Desktop, iOS, Mac, Web, and both Classic and New Outlook for Windows.
- No admin configuration is required; the feature is enabled by default for eligible users.
- Existing policies are respected; no changes to admin controls are needed.

- No action is required.
- You may choose to inform users about the new summarization capability.
- If desired, update internal documentation to reflect the availability of this feature.
