Microsoft Dataverse – Monitor batch workloads with Azure Monitor Application Insights [MC1196484]

Message ID: MC1196484
We are announcing the ability to monitor batch workload telemetry in Azure Monitor Application Insights for finance and operations apps in Microsoft Dataverse. This feature is planned to reach general availability on January 14, 2026.

How does this affect me?
Batch telemetry enables admins the ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks and scheduling issues more effectively. Azure Monitor Application Insights provides built-in support for alerts and dashboards that provide admins with actionable insights to enhance observability and operational efficiency.

With this new feature, you will have access to new telemetry signals that capture batch start and stop times, throttling events, and thread availability. It also includes telemetry for batch queue sizes across priority levels, enabling visibility into scheduling bottlenecks, and exception metadata for failed batch tasks. These insights provide the ability to monitor batch job execution with greater precision and respond proactively to performance or scheduling issues.

Batch signals that have been introduced under Monitoring and Telemetry in Dynamics 365 apps are:
  • Batch start time
  • Batch stop time
  • Batch throttling
  • Batch failure
  • Batch queue
  • Batch threads
What action do I need to take?
This message is for awareness, and no action is required.
