BigQuery

Change

Data transfers from the YouTube Channel and YouTube Content Owner data sources now support reach reports. For more information, see YouTube Channel report transformation and YouTube Content Owner report transformation.

Feature

You can now associate data policies directly on columns. This feature enables direct database administration for controlling access and applying masking and transformation rules at the column level. This feature is now generally available (GA).

Upcoming Spark data lineage changes See the upcoming May, 2026 Dataproc and Serverless for Apache Spark release notes for an announcement of a change that will automatically enable Dataproc Spark data lineage and Serverless for Apache Spark data lineage when you enable the Data Lineage API (see Control lineage ingestion for a service) without requiring additional project, cluster, batch workload, or interactive session settings.

Gemini Enterprise

Feature

Gemini Enterprise and NotebookLM Enterprise: Usage audit logs available in Cloud Logging

Gemini Enterprise admins can access user query and response audit logs in Cloud Logging for both Gemini Enterprise and NotebookLM Enterprise.

Google Distributed Cloud (software only) for VMware 1.33.400-gke.113 is now available for download. To upgrade, see Upgrade a cluster. Google Distributed Cloud 1.33.400-gke.113 runs on Kubernetes v1.33.5-gke.1900.

If you are using a third-party storage vendor, check the Google Distributed Cloud-ready storage partners document to make sure the storage vendor has already passed the qualification for this release.

After a release, it takes approximately 7 to 14 days for the version to become available for use with GKE On-Prem API clients: the Google Cloud console, the gcloud CLI, and Terraform.

Google Distributed Cloud (software only) for bare metal 1.33.400-gke.113 is now available for download. To upgrade, see Upgrade clusters. Google Distributed Cloud for bare metal 1.33.400-gke.113 runs on Kubernetes v1.33.5-gke.1900.

The new re.capture_all YARA-L 2.0 function is available in Rules, Search, and Dashboards.

Use the re.capture_all() function to extract every non-overlapping match of a regular expression from a string. While the standard re.capture function stops after the first match it finds, the re.capture_all() function continues through the entire string to identify every instance that matches your pattern.

Virtual Private Cloud

Feature

You can create individual static external IPv4 addresses from bring your own IP addresses (BYOIP) prefixes. This feature is available in General Availability and only applies to IPv4 regional v2 prefixes that are created after December 13, 2025.
