Coming soon: Updates to the Microsoft 365 Cloud Policy service setting Turn off sharing recommendation in the Microsoft 365 admin center will disable the ability for users to share or edit folder permissions with individual users in Microsoft Outlook on the web and new Microsoft Outlook for Window desktops. We will not change anything else about how the policy currently works.

Starting October 8, 2024, and ending December 31, 2024, we will retire the Microsoft PowerPoint QuickStarter feature from Microsoft Office version 2409 for Windows and Microsoft Office version 2410 for Mac. The feature will be unavailable going forward in Office. QuickStarter was never available in PowerPoint for the web.

Microsoft Outlook for the web is undergoing an authentication platform migration to a public client authentication model using MSAL (Microsoft Authentication Library). The change to client-side authentication will be subject to Google's third-party cookie block that may be active in Chrome and Edge.
