As part of our Secure Future initiative and ongoing commitment to protecting customer data, we’re introducing a modernized Meeting Details experience in OneNote. This update enhances both security and usability across platforms. As a result, the legacy Meeting Details feature will be deprecated in OneNote for Windows 10, iPad, and Mac.
[When this will happen:]
- June 2025: Meeting Details will be removed from OneNote for Windows 10.
- Ongoing: Users on iPad and Mac must upgrade to build 16.95 or later to retain access to Meeting Details.
[How this affects your organization:]
- OneNote for Windows 10: The Meeting Details feature will no longer be available. Users will lose access to this functionality and must transition to the OneNote for Windows app, which includes the latest features and continued support.
- iPad and Mac: Users running versions earlier than 16.95 will no longer be able to use the Meeting Details feature. Upgrading to build 16.95 or later is required to maintain access.
Reminder: OneNote for Windows 10 is reaching end of support in October 2025. We strongly recommend transitioning to the latest OneNote for Windows app to ensure continued access to supported features.
[What you can do to prepare:]
- Encourage users to migrate to the OneNote for Windows app.
- Ensure iPad and Mac users are on build 16.95 or later.
- For more information on Windows 10 end of support, refer to this Lifecycle FAQ – Windows
