Coming soon for Microsoft Viva Engage: To enhance platform security and ensure a consistent user experience, Microsoft Viva will replace certain legacy icons in activity streams with a standard neutral placeholder icon. This change applies to a subset of API-driven activities that previously rendered unique icons.

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late June 2025 and expect to complete by early July 2025.
[How this will affect your organization:]
This update will be on by default. This update is visual only and requires no action from users or tenant admins.
You may notice that some activity types—especially those rendered via API—will now display a neutral placeholder icon instead of a unique one.

- Group-related:

This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. You may want to notify users about this visual update to set appropriate expectations.
